After finishing the regulator mount I noticed that the regulator was in the path of flying debris from the radiator fan blade. Anything sucked in through the radiator could end up pelting or spraying the regulator, lines and electrical connections.

As you can see a shield was going to have to be fabricated and installed to protect the regulator.

I used a simple piece of sheet aluminum cut to shape and bent to fit the radius of the fan shroud.
 

A little drilling and a couple pop rivets and the shield is done
