Mounting the fuel gauge was pretty uneventful. The only issue I had to consider was that I did not want to drill into the dash and cosmetically ruin the dash. It took some time, however I was able to locate a acceptable location.

Getting wire through the firewall was limited. I had to pull the wiring past an existing rubber boot. Here I had to pull the HPL ( high pressure lockoff) and fuel gauge wire.

Here is the location chosen. I was able to pull the lowed dash plate back to screw down the aluminum bracket.

A closer vied shows that the screw holes are hidden in the dash. The location is out of view and in direct eye sight of driver.
